Workshop di Carmelo Bongiorno

• Il workshop è a numero chiuso e si svolge nell’arco di 3 giornate
• I partecipanti preferibilmente dovranno portare una piccola selezione di loro immagini
• Le mattine del 2° e del 3° giorno sono previste esperienze comuni di set di riprese in esterni sul tema del workshop (dove l’autore esporrà tecniche, modalità e approccio alla ripresa), per poi rientrare in sede, visionare le foto scattate e proseguire le lezioni.
• Durante i 3 giorni del workshop verranno proiettati e illustrati vari lavori dell’autore, soluzioni e procedimenti tecnici, e alcuni audiovisivi realizzati con l’amico Franco Battiato
Il workshop si propone di stimolare e far riflettere i partecipanti sulle infinite possibilità espressive che offre lo strumento fotografico quando questo viene “rivolto verso se stessi”, ovvero utilizzato attraverso il filtro delle proprie emozioni per raccontare in modo personale il mondo che ci circonda, la nostra personale lettura della contemporaneità.
Il percorso prevede quindi un iniziale “interscambio” con gli allievi attraverso la comune visione di una breve selezione dei loro lavori (per chi vorrà mostrarli) già svolti o in corso di esecuzione su qualsiasi soggetto e con ogni tecnica, per poi addentrarsi nel tema verificando e analizzando immagini e tecniche dell’autore: visione e commento di vari lavori dell’autore, esperienze comuni di riprese in esterni, tecniche di ripresa e camera oscura digitale e analogica, saranno in sintesi i temi che verranno svolti all’interno del workshop.
Inoltre, sulla base delle esperienze dell’autore, si evidenzierà come ricerca artistica e professione viaggino spesso su binari paralleli che possono (e debbono) incontrarsi, e come un fotografo debba “fare suoi” anche temi commissionati pur mantenendo la propria identità.

• The workshop has a limited number, and takes place over 3 days
• Participants should preferably bring a small selection of their images
• The morning of the 2 nd and 3 rd days are planned set of common experiences of filming on location on the theme of the workshop (where the author will present techniques, methods and approach to recovery), then travel back to headquarters, view the photos taken and continue the lessons.
• During the 3-day workshop will be screened and illustrated various works of the author, solutions and technical procedures, and some audiovisual produced with his friend singer Franco Battiato
The workshop aims to stimulate participants and reflect on the infinite possibilities of expression that provides the photographic instrument when it is "directed toward oneself", that is used through the filter of one's emotions in a personal way to tell the world that surrounds us, the Our own reading of the contemporary.
The course then provides an initial "interchange" with the students through the shared vision of a small selection of their work (for those who want to show them) already done or in progress on any subject and with each technique, then go into the issue by checking and analyzing images and techniques the author: Review and comment on various author's works, common experiences of filming on location, shooting techniques and darkroom digital and analog, will summarize the issues that will be carried out inside the workshop.
In addition, based on the experiences of the author, will be highlighted as artistic research and practice they often travel on parallel tracks that can (and should) meet, and as a photographer is to "do its" themes also commissioned while maintaining their identity.
